We wish to start a new kindergarten (Habari njema 4 kids) by 2014 January.
The most important things we need before start:
- Building three classroom for baby/ kg 1/ kg 2
- Feeding programme for all kids
- Borehole for water and electricity
- Three teachers salary and one cook
- Exercise books, text books and leaning materials
Budget
To build (1) classroom will cost 650,000ksh (6500euro).
So three classrooms = 1,950,000ksh
Feeding programme
We intend to start with each class with 20 kids = 60 kids altogether.
Each child uses I euro per day or 120ksh .
120 x 60=7,200ksh daily
600 x 60 =36,000ksh weekly
2400 x 60= 144,000ksh monthly
Food Monthly Budget 144,000ksh
Borehole is very important to get water for daily use and building work
Digging borehole will cost 150,000ksh – 1500euro
Tank will cost 50,000ksh – 500euro
Connection and labor 30,000ksh – 300euro
Electricity connection 70,000ksh – 700euro
Total 305,000ksh
Teachers
Salary for three teachers is12,000ksh each per month – 120 euro
12,000ksh x3 = 36,000ksh – 360 euro
Cook per month 8,000ksh – 80 euro.

Kg 1 . 20 kids each child 7 books = 140 books @30ksh = 4,200ksh

Text books budget
Kg 1 number of children is 20 kids.
- Math’s 20 books @ 250 = 5,000ksh

- Social study 20 books @ 220 = 4,400ksh
- Science 20 books @ 250 = 5,000ksh
- C.R.E 20 books @200 = 4,000ksh
- Environment 20 books @ 200 = 4,000ksh
Total 31,000ksh – 310euro
Kg 2 number of children is 20 kids.
Grand Total cost 40,470ksh – 4050euro
ONCE ONLY SUPPORT is required for:
- Three (3) classroom 1 ,950.000ksh
- Borehole and electricity 305,000ksh
- Text books for three classes 93,000ksh
Total 2,348,000ksh
Continuous support monthly is required for:
- Feeding programme 144,000 ksh monthly
- Salary (4) teachers and cook 44.000ksh monthly
- Exercise books 12,600ksh
Total 200,600ksh
Grand total 2,548,600ksh
